A Union for Prisoners
We are here to provide concrete solidarity with the struggles of incarcerated people. It can be tough to talk about those we know who’ve been caught up in the criminal punishment system. The institutions of punishment are very good at dividing us, making us feel ashamed and alone.
We want you to know: you’re not alone!
Incarceration impacts tens of millions of us. Alone and in small groups we are weak, but together we can be strong enough to challenge the system.
If you have an incarcerated friend or family member who needs support feel free to reach out to us privately and we can discuss what kinds of aid we can provide. Here are some examples:
- Keeping in touch for emotional support
- Info on getting the 2020 EIP payments
- Public pressure against mistreatment
- Visits, if they are in Sac County Jail
- Sending misc. reading material
- Sending Legal Pads of paper
- Sending Legal Guides
- Sending Artwork
We do NOT provide the following:
- Legal Representation
- Dating / Romance (directly or indirectly)
- Direct Financial Assistance
